I have known and worked together with Maurice for nearly 10 years. We’ve developed many projects connected with organic agriculture, including a regional brand, Alsace Bio, project with Alsatian produceurs and an Alsatian Organic Agriculture Fair, BiObernai, held in September of every year in Obernai, Alsace.
Man and the Earth came into being at the end of last November, during a discussion which, as usual, revolved around the subject of how to give back to farmers a true place, with the idea of mediation and of illustrating it with farmers from every continent.
The partners already familiar with Maurice’s work promised their support, and we organized the first stage, as an experiment, in South Africa. Now, in early March, it’s already time to do a first stock-taking of the results.
And they are incredible. The project goes far beyond anything we could have imagined. The people we met entered into resonance as if this idea had always existed. As if the idea of creating connections across the continents, to give value to the work of people seeking to nourish the idea of mediation between Man and the Earth, was self-evident.
With each meeting, it’s as if a new aspect was being unveiled, as if the project was gradually revealing itself to us as we wove connections with our Man and the Earth discussion partners.
We are just at the beginning of this project, but it seems quite a bit larger than planned! And it’s exciting to see in what direction it’s going to take us. Thanks to everyone who helped to initiate, create, and realize the first stage in South Africa, and thanks to everyone who is going to resonate with this idea to help us make it grow, passing through other destinations…
